It was Valentine’s Day earlier this week. It’s always an interesting time, and we can have different associations with the day.
Some people feel loved, others feel lonely, others think it’s all just a marketing gimmick.
But what I’m more curious about is, what does love mean to you?
Did you know that we all have strategies for how we live in all aspects of our lives? We have strategies for how to brush our hair, how to decide what shoes to buy and also, we have love strategies. That’s right. We have a strategy on how to feel loved.
And if our partner understands that strategy we feel loved, and if they don’t – well, it can feel a little like entering the wrong pin code at an ATM. It doesn’t work.
So, how do you know when you feel loved?
Is it something you hear people say, is it a certain look or getting gifts, or is it a special touch?
Usually, we give the love we want to receive.
Taking time to get to know yourself and what drives you, motivates you and fulfils you (and even how you feel loved!) is probably the most important self-love practice you can ever do!

A few years ago once I got clear on my values, un-useful strategies and beliefs and what was truly important to me that there were so many changes I needed to make. It was a scary realisation at the time, but one I can reflect upon now as incredibly powerful.
My own pain caused me to go down the healing journey that ultimately led to the path of relaunching my life.
So, that means that I know, that any pain or challenge you are going through right now is a gift. It certainly doesn’t feel like it at the time believe me I know that… but on the other side you can see the wisdom behind the chaos.
I’m obsessed with supporting individuals to get to know themselves and clear beliefs/blocks because once you really know yourself then you can really value yourself.
When you value yourself you can set boundaries and stop giving your energy to people or activities that drain you and start living your life in alignment with what truly matters most to you.
Your greatest gift to offer this world is your happiest, healthiest most fulfilled version of you living in alignment with what matters most to you.
